Front Desk Receptionist

As one of the largest Muslim community organisations in Australia, the Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) has provided multiple social, educational, recreational and welfare services to a wide demographic of the Muslim community.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced receptionist. This is a full-time position, which focuses on front desk reception duties including attending to incoming calls, managing bookings & appointments, data entry/order processing and the provision of efficient and professional customer service at all times.

We are looking for an individual who can speak both English & Arabic, professional and is able to work under pressure.

The ideal candidate would need to;

– Take pride in being the first port of call for the business & has a very strong client service focus
– Excellent organisational skills, high level coordination skills and the ability to re-prioritise at short notice
– Maintain a high level of customer service at all times
– Attend to all incoming phone calls promptly and professionally at all times
– Transfer calls to the appropriate staff
– Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft programs and databases
– Excellent typing speed and accuracy
– The ability to cope under pressure and to work to deadlines
– Ability to get along with a diverse range of people & personalities
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
– Must have an even temperament and stay cool under pressure
– Initiative and problem solving skills are essential
– Ability to multi-task, handle the workload and still maintain a smile

Candidates must have prior reception and administration experience, preferably in a fast paced client focused environment. This is a Full Time position Monday to Friday 8:45am – 5:00pm. Youth Transition Support Workers

As one of the largest Muslim community organisations in Australia, the Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) has provided multiple social, educational, recreational and welfare services to a wide demographic of the Muslim community.

An exciting opportunity exists for experienced, qualified and passionate youth transition support workers. This is a full-time position, which focuses on development and delivery of programs targeting young people with a focus on refugees and migrants across the Canterbury/Bankstown and Fairfield LGAs.

As the ideal candidate, you have a passion for working with young people, to help them help themselves. Skills and experience in employment support, vocational training, community consultation, service planning, sports engagement and delivery and partnership development with other agencies is essential. Knowledge of the local area and service networks would be well regarded.

This position requires a person who has demonstrated ability to work effectively with young people, migrant and refugee communities and excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem solving skills. Ideally you will hold a Social Science, Social Work, Youth Work, Community Development qualification and/or have demonstrated experience in this field. Most importantly, you are passionate about community work and have the commitment and drive to make a difference.

On offer to the successful applicant is a 12-month contract; a remuneration package commensurate with professional experience will be offered.

PR & Communications Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, qualified and passionate PR & Communications Officer. This is a full-time position, which focuses on developing and presenting the LMA as well as marketing and communication programs.

As an ideal candidate, you must have strong organisational skills, have experience in developing & managing communication strategies, building strong relationships, and implementing innovative campaigns. You have the ability to focus on multiple tasks and prioritise workloads under time-critical circumstances.

Skills and experience in the community sector are vital. This position requires a person who has a demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams to ensure delivery of outcomes, has the ability to build good working relationships, has experience working in government, not for profit or directly in journalism and you have a demonstrated ability in managing relationships with media and community members.

Candidates should hold a qualification in a relevant discipline and/or have demonstrated experience in this field. Most importantly, you should be passionate about community work and have the commitment and drive to make a difference.

Junior Graphic Designer

Are you a passionate creative who loves all things design related?

Do you want to work in a collaborative and creative environment with a seasoned senior graphic designer?

As one of the largest Muslim community organisations in Australia, the Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) has provided multiple social, educational, recreational and welfare services to a wide demographic of the Muslim community.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This is a part-time position, which focuses on designing and producing creative content for the LMA’s ongoing programs and initiatives.

As an ideal candidate, you must have strong organisational skills, have a demonstrated understanding of layout and design and have some tertiary study in graphic design or related field. Any relevant work experience is a bonus.

You will have good command of Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, strong finished art skills with good layout, written and interpersonal skills.

This position requires a person who has a demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams to ensure delivery of outcomes and the ability to autonomously problem solve while also being a demonstrative collaborative team player.

You have the ability to focus on multiple tasks and prioritise workloads under time-critical circumstances and meet design briefs and deadlines in a timely manner.

You will be working with a senior designer, who has over 10 years of experience in the publications industry and boutique design agencies, runs a successful freelance business and works across all mediums of design including print, corporate identity, branding, packaging and all forms of creative projects.
