“Teaching to Read, Lead, Succeed”

For many years the LMA Educational Division has always been serving the Islamic Community in order to preserve its culture and present the positive side of Islam to the rest of community.

The main activities of the Education Division since it was founded in 1987 lies in the teaching of the original Arabic Language as well as Islamic Studies and Qur’an not only at Lakemba but at as many as 15 other locations around the Sydney Metropolitan area.

All our teachers staffed by the LMA comply with the DET (Department of Education and Training) conditions of employment of a Community Language Teaching Professional and have attended one of the courses run by the Department. They have exerted great level of effort to get our message and mission aims to every Muslim family.

This year, the number of students enrolled has reached 1635 with students ranging from Kindergarten to year 12. They all receive a high level of tuition using the most up to date Syllabus (approved by DET), textbooks and other practical utilities and means.

What Parents have said about the Arabic Language Programs

I found the course very useful in revising topics that my son had previously studied at school. The lessons are very interesting and easy to understand. A very easy and fun way to learn a language. The teachers are very caring and really good at what they are doing”.

In the beginning I was a bit worried about how the school was going to be. But from the moment I first entered the school, I had a very good impression and feeling about everything. The facilities were desirable and very pleasant. The classes flowed well with a great balance between vocabulary and grammar, combined with conversation".

The teachers working with the LMA are professional and have an excellent attitude with their students. They give every student individual attention and what I like the most is that no other languages than Arabic can be used”.

Non-Discriminatory Policy

The Arabic language schools operated by the LMA admits students of any race, colour, nationality and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. However, all students enrolled at the school must abide by the school rules, and failure to do so can result in expulsion.
